Your Guide to a Quick Shoulder Workout

Today, we’re sharing 7 Moves for a quick - and super effective - shoulder workout. You’ll need your BodyBoss 2.0, and about 20 minutes to spare. Try this one out today!
- We recommend completing 12 reps, 3 sets of each move.
- Rest 30 seconds between each set.
- If you’re a beginner, start with one set of bands clipped to 3. If you’re advanced, shorten your bands by threading through 3, clipped to 1 or add a second set of bands for even more of a challenge!

What is the best way to stay motivated?
This is such a great question, and it’s one that plagues us all! We think that staying motivated is a combination of a few things. Here are a few recommendations from our team:
- Set a goal. Keep your goals SMART - Specific, Measurable, Aggressive, Realistic, and Time-bound. Goals help give you direction and something to work toward!
- Stay connected. Whether or not it’s working out with a friend or family member, reach out to others for support! Encouragement and accountability can make such a difference in keeping you on track with your fitness goals.
- Put your workout clothes on! When you plan ahead to workout and you’re physically ready, you’re more likely to be mentally ready as well.
- Try a live class. BodyBoss trainers host live classes several times a week. There is just something special about joining in with a group and getting after it! You’ll follow along with the trainer live, and chat along with other users for questions and encouragement.
How do I improve my posture with BodyBoss?
One great way to improve your posture is to strengthen your core muscles. These are the muscles that connect to your spine and pelvis and move your torso. There are so many exercises that you can do with the BodyBoss that will target this muscle group. For a quick tutorial, check out this video. For a full core strength workout, check out this one!
What is the best core exercise that we can do with Body Boss 2.0? (By that, I mean the most efficient one at burning calories)
Calorie burn will vary for each user since this is impacted by your gender, weight and body composition. That aside, research does show that HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) burns calories faster than other types of exercise. When doing a HIIT workout, you’re forced to do your maximum level of effort with a short rest after. Here’s an example of a full workout using this HIIT style of training.

What's your recommended bench for laying down bench press moves?
We have many users who incorporate a bench into their BodyBoss 2.0 workouts. We don’t have one brand that we recommend right now, but an important thing to remember when using a bench, is that the feet or base of the bench need to be wide enough to sit comfortably on the base. That way it will stay secure when you’re bench pressing.
